National Defence Academy is a defence training Institution functioning under Minister of Defence under Central Government of India making students for the 3 wings of Indian defence Army, Navy and Air force.

The institution is at Khadawasala, Near Pune and it offer’s 3 years under graduation courses in B.Sc (Arts/Science) and 4 years under graduation course in B.Tech. The graduations will be given in association with Jawaharlal Nehru University. NDA offers Academic graduation and in parallel sufficient defence training and good number of opportunities in sports & games besides other talent based adventurous activities. Both science based courses which include physics, Chemistry, Maths and computer science, as well as non-science based subjects which include history, Economics, politics, Geography and languages are offered by NDA.

After the programmes in NDA, the candidates will be directed to concerned wing depending upon their choices of.

Army opted candidates will be sent to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Air force opted candidates will be sent to Air force Academy at Dundigul - Hydrabad, navy opted candidates will be sent to, Navy Academy, Ezhilmala, Kerala. After the completion of vigorous training they will be appointed as officers in respective wings

The present examination is conducted for 355 seats which include 208 in Army, 42, in Navy, 70 in Air force and 55 in Navy Academy.

Eligibility to Apply:

Unmarried candidates who have born between 02-07-1996 and 01-07-1999 can apply for this examination. To apply for Army the candidates should have passed XII or equivalent in any one of the groups. To apply for Air force and Naval Academy, they should have passed XII or equivalent taking physics and Mathematics as the parts of Academic curriculum. The students who are going to write the examination in forthcoming March 2015 can also apply for this exam.

Selection Procedure:

The aspiring candidates should quality in the written test and should undergo the tests, conducted by service selection Board (SSB). They have appeared psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test of SSB. Besides the aspiring candidates for of SSB. Besides the aspiring candidates for Airforce should clear pilot Aptitude test.

The written examination consists of a paper for 2 ½ hours duration for 300 marks in Mathematics and a 2 ½ hour duration for 600 marks in General Ability. Marks will be reduced for wrong answers. The candidates should have the minimum medical fitness.

Applying procedure:

The cost of the application is Rs.100 which can be paid by cash, net service, visa master, credit and debit cards through State Bank of India, State bank of Bikineer and state Bank of Hyderabad, state Bank of Trivancore.

The last date to pay in cash is 22.01.2015 and through on line is 23.01.2015.

The last date for applying is 23.01.2015- the candidates belonging to SC/ST, children of Junior commission offered, non-commission offered and other rank of need not pay this fee.
