New Education Policy - Human Resource Development

Government of India is various serious about introduction New National policy in Education to change the 48 year old system.

Smiriti Irani, the minister of Human Resource Development declared that the new system will come into force from forth coming Academic year.

The present ruling party BJP’s mentor RSS extends helping arms to frame New National policy, claiming to Indian’s the present Education system by offering more flexibility. Bhartya Shiksha Mandal (BSM) is an RSS affiliated Education body which draft the New National policy for Education. BSM has its head question in Nagpur.

CONCEPTS OF NEW PROPOSED EDUCATION POLICY:

  1. The existing pattern has 10+2+3 system which was proposed by Kothari Commission in 1968. Now BSM has proposed 8+4+3 patter.

This will have 8 years of General Education in what I language would be mother tongue, English and Hindi will be additional language. There will be subjects like.

Mathematics, General science, social studies, physical Education, work and cleanliness and ethical education and social service as seventy subject.

In this system, there is flexibility for the students to leave the school after class VIII, and then they can join in ITI’s. IIT’s will be opened in village level to learn any vocational subject or any one of the trades for 18 months. In this an additional 6 months of practical training will be given.

  1. In the present system, a student has to complete education in 10+2+3 pattern. There are no opportunities to leave and rejoin a course. The proposed system will give opportunities for these factors as explained below
  1. I year - Certificate
  2. 2 years - Diploma
  3. 3 years - Degree
  4. 4 years - Honors degree

The college education will be mode job-oriented.

  1. The BSM draft proposed to be away with entrance examination, which is students could take up their choice from IX STD itself and also can have compulsory practical training summary and comparison between the present system and proposed system.
